Big enough Stick??

Jacko, the feisty Jack Russell Terrier of Huntington Beach, has found a treasure! He really doesn't care that the stick is big enough for a Mastiff. Go , Jacko, go!

Visiting Honey!

While I was at the Outer Banks this week I got to visit with an old friend. I first photographed Honey about eight years ago. Over the years I have taken many pictures of her and her photos have appeared in many calendars and publications. She still likes swimming but might be a little slower now.

It is always nice to visit with old friends!

Pit Bull Gets Ball!

In California, pitbulls are frequent visitors to the beaches. They love to retrieve like the retrievers, love to run like the greyhounds and love to dig like the terriers. Each day at the beach is a day in heaven!

Portuguese Water Dog !

Naturally this Portuguese Water Dog enjoys being in the water. He spent most of the day chasing his squeaky toy in and out of the waves.

Cocker fun!

While he might not be as big as some of the dogs, he certainly has the drive to play.

Stepping Out!

Labs love the water ! No matter what the size of the wave, they want to go out. It is up to us to make sure they are safe at the beach. Remember to watch for currents and most of all, watch for signs they are tiring.

Stick Time!

Some of the best toys are free. This GSD was happy to find a stick that his owner could throw. If you forget the buoy, find a stick!

Tailess Wonder!

Darcy has not let the loss of her lovely tail curtail her swimming. Even with out her Lab rudder , she is able to get out and get the buoy!

Irish Setter Retriever!

This Irish Setter is enjoying the beach. He was quite a mess when he got done swimming, but it was worth it!
