The next best thing!

Molly is enjoying looking at her advance copy of Salty Dogs. Reading the book is going to be the next best thing to being at the beach! The book will be out Sept 24th. While Molly likes to look at the pictures of her, there are pictures of Labs, Goldens, German Shepherds, Rat Terriers, Borzoi, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Wheaton Terriers, Boston Terriers and more. All of them are enjoying the beach in their own way.

Shake it off!

When you get to the beach, remember to shake off the stress from your daily life! It does a body good!

Visiting Honey!

While I was at the Outer Banks this week I got to visit with an old friend. I first photographed Honey about eight years ago. Over the years I have taken many pictures of her and her photos have appeared in many calendars and publications. She still likes swimming but might be a little slower now.

It is always nice to visit with old friends!

Find your own fun!

Some dogs naturally find a way to entertain themselves. First this way, then that way, tail chasing gives this beach loving JRT a lot of fun in the sun. And best of all if nothing exciting is happening, the tail is always available.

Dry now but wait till later!

With a wash and wear dog, I often look at the dogs with big coats and think how I wouldn't want to have to deal with cleaning them up later!

One last run!

The light is beginning to fade but someone just doesn't want to give up! One last run before we go.

Ball Freak!

Just because Basenjis are sighthounds doesn't mean they can't be ball freaks as well.

Sometimes just looking intently will encourage the owner to stop talking to people and attend to the business at hand, which is , as you guessed, throwing a toy for Buster Brown!

Salty Dogs enjoy a variety of toys. This border collie's toy of choice is the frisbee.

Siberian Husky!

Not a breed you often see at the beach, this Siberian Husky is doing what all dogs at the beach do-enjoying a break from living with humans!

Stick Time!

Some of the best toys are free. This GSD was happy to find a stick that his owner could throw. If you forget the buoy, find a stick!
