Honey is working hard to find the rascally sand crab that is working frantically to escape. Diligence is indeed the mother of good fortune. Now the question is, who did fortune smile upon?

Good fortune has smiled on me, so Molly and I have a week at the beach doing book signings and having fun!

At Huntington Dog Beach in CA, I found a lot of happy pit bulls enjoying the beach. They are great retreivers and love the beach

Slow down and enjoy life!

Dogs know so much better than humans that to enjoy life is to slow down. When they are tired they take a nap, a lesson us humans could learn . Like the quote here in Salty Dogs, slow down , enjoy the life you have!

OOO, that water is cold!

Here is one of my favorite pictures in Salty Dogs. I love the tentative touch of the toe . I feel that way when I get to the beach and discover that the sun is warm and the water is freezing!

Fall is here!

While this weekend is the offical end of summer, there is plenty of time left to hit the beach. After school starts back , things are a lot quieter at the beach and many of the beaches allow dogs again.

the sand is cooler, the water warm and best of all , the beach is empty!
