If you love taking your dog to the beach, be sure to scoop the poop! Take along extra bags so you can pick up what others left behind. I once had to pick up the poop of a St Bernard because the owner forgot a bag. Try that with little sandwich bags which are perfect for a JRT size poop!
The biggest reason for closing beaches to dogs is the poop, so please scoop the poop!

We definantly need more of that here on the Outer Banks. Most people, I'm a full time resident here, watch people come and go and they don't clean up after their pets. We clean up and they go in our own yard.
