Not a new trend

People think that taking dogs on vacation is a new trend. For generations dogs have had a very important place in families. Here is a family dog that got to come along to the beach. I think he looks like a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, what do you think?

Where did that ball go?

Quite a bit of time can be spent at the beach, looking for lost balls. Sometimes the ball never reappears, but goes out to sea, to be picked up by another dog on a distant shore.

Cooling off!

Even if your dog doesn't want to go surfing, most will enjoy cooling off. Splashing in the water is the way to go on a hot afternoon at the beach.

For some dogs, the beach is the place to be for the toys and the waves. For this Collie, the beach is just a place to be with her best friend.

Where did he go?

Intently scanning the beach, Molly is hoping another rascally sand crab will dare to pop out of a hole. Her idea of a perfect day at the beach includes hunting anything that moves, including flying foam from the surf.

Remember the first time you took your puppy to the beach? This little guy's reactions to the beach, surf and sand were priceless.

Some dogs, such as Dillon, prefer to lounge around while they are on the beach. He leaves the hard work to his housemate Darcy and then helps himself to the buoy she has retrieved.

The ways that dogs can have fun at the beach are endless. Chasing a disc always makes for a happy dog!
