Meet Cath and Minnie!

While on a seaside holiday fate had it that Cath met Minnie. "I was staying at the Coldingham Youth Hostel overlooking Coldingham Beach when I met Minnie 36 hours after she was born, "says Cath. The first two pictures are of Minnie enjoying Coldingham Beach on the east coast of Scotland!

The next picture was taken at Pease Bay Beach ,on the road to Edinburgh.

The next picture was taken at my other fav beach in the world-Belhaven-near Dunbar- about another 30 miles north of Coldingham- also 35 miles due east from Edinburgh.We holiday here a lot. I love taking Minnie to the beach because she loves to run after her ball, swim, dig in the wet sand, and I can let her off lead safely.I love the sea- I met Minnie during a seaside holiday, so the beach holds many wonderful memories for me.

When you are the author of a book, it is pretty easy to think your book is the most wonderful thing since sliced bread! Actually if I didn't think that in the first place, I would never have sold the book! There is nothing nicer than an author finding that others feel the same about their book! Some faces you just have to love. Georgia the bulldog has one of those faces, you just melt when she looks in your eyes!

It is almost as if she can speak to your soul, I think she is saying thanks for taking me to the beach!!

Courtnei at the Barking Blog posted this nice article about my Salty Dogs signing last week in Winchester VA. You can even see the pic she posted of the event. Notice the rather hangdog look of Molly's? She hates the sound of the fake shutter in digital cameras, one high pitched beep , she drops her tail, more than one she starts with the shake and quake. A few more and she starts to head for the door. If you ever find it hard to get pics of your dog, you might try disabling the shutter sound!

Salty Dogs - Book signing !

Saturday , Winchester Book Gallery hosted a signing of Salty Dogs. They had a friend bring his sweet Basset Hound to help promote the signing.












Patiently, she sat out in the sun, on her boggie board, and directed people inside to have their book signed.





In addition to signing books I got to meet a lot of nice people. One person was Courtnei of The Barking Blog. We talked for a while, I got to admire Bear, her mini Aussie, and internet people once more got to connect in person. They drove all the way from Annapolis!
