Sighthounds love the beach! It gives them the chance to really stretch their legs out and fly! Be careful tho, they can spot something a 1/2 mile away and be off in a flash!

ABC Wednesday

At Blog Catalog there is something called ABC Wednesday. Today's letter is E hence the E dogs! The first is Energetic, the second an Elegant Borzoi and the third an English Springer Spaniel!

These three were the winners of the dog surfing competition. Zoey is the Jack's name! Way to hang ten Zoey!

The beauty of dogs is their ability to get along with others. Most of the time they work out their differences and get on with enjoying the moment!

Watching dogs interact with other dogs is always interesting. These two are housemates, and often fall into wrestling each other. Luckily it is all in the name of play!

Jacko, the feisty Jack Russell Terrier of Huntington Beach, has found a treasure! He really doesn't care that the stick is big enough for a Mastiff. Go , Jacko, go!

Early Morning Stroll!

Long before the other beach dogs are awake, the early birds are out marking their territory. Cooler and less crowded, early mornings offer dogs and humans a chance to start the day on the right foot.

Determined not to let it get away this time, this Lab attacks the ball.

What better way could there be to wake up in the morning. Labs don't put their toes in , they explode into the waves!

One last look, then it is time for home , a bath and a nap. Some dogs refuse to leave and have to be carried away. There is always tommorrow.

Some dogs naturally find a way to entertain themselves. First this way, then that way, tail chasing gives this beach loving JRT a lot of fun in the sun. And best of all if nothing exciting is happening, the tail is always available.

The light is beginning to fade but someone just doesn't want to give up! One last run before we go.

Molly is doing her part to keep the beach clean. Are you ? Picking up poop on the beach will not only keep the beaches clean, but will encourage communities to keep beaches open to dogs!
