When you think of the beach, you might just think of Labs!

While I have seen Labs that don't enjoy swimming, most Labs love being at the beach!

Molly seems to think she is a sea turtle. I finally had to remove her from the hunt for the elusive ghost crab!

Early Morning Fun!

Dawn's first light is often the nicest time at the beach. The beach is empty, the dogs are full of energy and best of all the light is georgeous!

Empty Beach!

How often do you go to the beach and find it completely deserted? If you go after New Years, the Outer Banks are empty.

You can't help but reflect that this is how the beach would have been 100 years ago. The dunes hid all the beachfront houses and when the fog rolled in, I could also see a ghost ship hovering off the coast.

New Beach Babe!

Not all four legged animals at the beach are Salty Dogs. Check out the Beach Babe ! It is incredible what pops up on the internet!

OOO, that water is cold!

Here is one of my favorite pictures in Salty Dogs. I love the tentative touch of the toe . I feel that way when I get to the beach and discover that the sun is warm and the water is freezing!

All three colors!

Lab lovers often are partial to one color. These owners loved all Labs and had one of each color. Since she is an agility trainer, she was able to line them all up, even the puppy to get a pic of them at the beach.

Rise and Shine!

Early morning is one of the best times at the beach. The air is cool, most people are home still in bed, and dogs rule the beach. Grab a buoy or two , some treats and head to the beach. Your dogs will love you!

New Friends!

The best part about the beach, for many dogs, is the opportunity to meet and greet other dogs. They get to romp , sniff and play to their heart's content.

It is not time to go!

Leaving the beach is the hardest thing. When the day is done, most of us have to drag or carry our dogs off the beach. Reminds me of when I was little , my parents had at least one screaming child to carry at the end of the day at the beach.

Stick Time!

Some of the best toys are free. This GSD was happy to find a stick that his owner could throw. If you forget the buoy, find a stick!
